The CT team is genuinely passionate about helping high-growth companies and their investors. We have a 100% track record with HMRC in the last year, including reversing many EIS disqualifications inherited from other advisors.

Our service has evolved to grow the EIS market, encompassing tax, structuring, accounting, software, grant audits and financing. Our legal partner tax service provides the EIS advice for companies in the legal market, our outreach pro-bono services to female angels promotes greater investor diversity, our social media channels advocate the EIS scheme to a wide audience spectrum.

The CT Entrepreneurial Tax Team, established 10 years ago, has grown to be the largest we know of in the UK. As the only EIS-focussed team based outside of the Golden Triangle, have built a unique reputation in the EIS space advising dozens of companies/ investors across the whole of the UK and foreign companies looking to invest in UK companies. These factors resulted in a 45% growth in our services in 2021/ 2022. With offices in Edinburgh, London, Inverness and Glasgow, we not only work with partner firms in the UK, but also from across the globe offering a truly international service for ambitious, like-minded clients.

Edwards, Pearson & White LLP are established taxation and business advisors who work primarily in the SME market place supporting businesses taxation, accountancy and auditing requirements. We have offices in Warwickshire and the West Midlands with easy access to the motorway and rail networks enabling us to provide services across the UK. We have extensive practical knowledge of EIS statutory compliance from representing both investors seeking to make investments and entities receiving investment. Within our team we are fortunate to have extensive ‘big 4’ accountancy firm experience across our range of services. Our taxation service is based around a highly experienced team with an extensive working knowledge of UK legislation. Rebecca leads the team in relation to our Enterprise Investment Scheme and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme offering, and our involvement often includes advising on the SEIS/EIS status of companies, tax structuring of fund-raisings under the schemes, through to obtaining advance assurance from HMRC and assisting with SEIS/EIS/tax compliance going forward.  In addition, she can link in with our financial planning team to assist with identifying potential investors.

Chris Lee, the founder of Fiscability, believes that he is one of a small select band of EISA members who advised on the very first venture capital scheme (Relief for Investment in New Corporate Trades, which lasted from 1981 to 1983).  Ever since, Chris has maintained a keen interest in tax relief for venture capital, and he has advised many hundreds of companies and their investors, ranging from micro SEIS start-ups to significant AIM listings. His current client base includes a number of EIS Funds.

Chris began his tax career with the Inland Revenue, and worked for large and medium accountancy practices before forming Fiscability in 2012. He will provide cutting edge but pragmatic and practical advice on EIS, SEIS and related matters.  He does not charge by the hour, nor does he expect to raise a bill merely for giving brief email or telephone advice.
