Hours of work: TBC but minimum 3 days per week, possibly Full Time

The Role
This new role of Marketing Manager will be responsible for the promotion and positioning of the EISA brand. They will work with the DG to develop a multi-channel marketing strategy for the Association and will be responsible for implementing it.
Key focuses will include building growing the EISA membership, a network of journalist contacts, working to communicate the importance of the EIS through both traditional and new media and representing the organisation at key events. The marketing manager will also be responsible for the content on the EISA website and our social media channels, including managing the relationship with EISA’s social media consultants.
EISA is run by a small, entrepreneurial team and, as such, this role will include the opportunity to gain experience in a number of areas. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Representing EISA at key industry events
- Developing an extensive network of journalists working in the start-up and investment space
- Responsible for identifying media opportunities and drafting and all press releases
- Respond to enquiries or direct them to relevant colleagues as required
- Acting as a spokesperson for the Association through media engagements and speaking events
- Responsible for branding and marketing all EISA activity including events and any research
- Managing the EISA website including creating and uploading regular content
- Managing EISA’s social media channels, including working with our social media agency
- Growing the EISA membership including identifying and contacting potential new members
- Working with the Membership Manager to deliver a series of impactful events
- Working with the DG to raise awareness of EIS and SEIS through various educational initiatives including within Parliament
- Working alongside the EISA DG and Membership Manager on all aspects of EISA work as and when required
Essential skills and experience
- You should have a minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing, PR or a related field
- You should have a good understanding of the Enterprise Investment Scheme and the requirements of start-ups
- You should have excellent written and oral communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and experience of editing
- You should have experience in writing Press Releases
- You should have experience and understanding of Social Media, especially LinkedIn
- You should be a self-starter and resourceful
- You should be a good networker
- This role requires you to be flexible
- You should have a good ability to prioritise
- You must be available to attend evening events on occasion with some travel within the UK
Preferred skills and experience
- An existing network of relevant journalist contacts preferred
- Media training would be beneficial
- Design experience is a bonus
- Experience of WordPress is beneficial
