Andrea ReynoldsSwoop Funding – Andrea will look at the various funding options available to SMEs, in particular the recently announced Government schemes put in place to support SMEs during the Covid crisis. Find out what you can apply for, whether you’re eligible and how much you could receive
Andrea started her career as an accountant with KPMG before joining their Management Consultancy division. Andrea left to start a corporate finance consultancy, where for 10 years she raised business funding across loans, investment and grants – leading her to launch swoopfunding.com. Andrea is a non-executive director Berkshire Hathaway European Insurance.

Jess Jackson – GC Angels Investment Director – Making sense of raising investment. Jess will speak about how to approach funding in any circumstances, and share insights on key areas of focus for a founder seeking to raise investment, especially during the current climate.
Jess has a wealth of experience working with tech businesses and startups, particularly with a focus on positive social impact. Jess come from a strong start-up background with operational, compliance and management focus, as well as managing HNWI Capital and a portfolio of over £5m in value spanning both early stage tech businesses and property. Her current role at GC Angels sees her leading the service’s fund deployment into GM early stage tech businesses and managing a portfolio of over 22 investments to date, sitting on numerous boards. She is passionate about supporting investment into women-led businesses, the early stage investment scene, and regularly gives talks and contributes to articles on the subject.

Simon Bonney Quantuma LLP – Simon will provide practical and commercial guidance for entrepreneurs and directors and their duties in protecting shareholder interests during these difficult times
Simon is a partner at Quantuma – a business advisory firm which prides itself as being a challenger brand in the corporate advisory field. He has 20 years’ experience delivering solutions to businesses and individuals experiencing financial distress.
Simon’s wide range of experience includes formal procedures for large retail chains, multi-national PLCs and multiple appointments to complete and sell construction developments from SPVs. More recently he has advised on a series of accelerated sales and been appointed administrator of a group of hotels. Simon regularly advises boards of directors of companies across a wide range of sectors, each of whom are faced with needing to make pivotal decisions about the future and direction of their businesses.

Tom Britton – CTO and Co- Founder – Syndicate Room

As co-founder Tom has worn many hats at SR, often filling gaps until the time was right to hire an experienced individual to take over.

As SR has grown, and Tom’s own profile with it, Tom has stepped into more strategic roles within SR and outside of it, including sitting on the board of the UK Business Angel Association and the advisory board of City Ventures. Tom’s investment commentary has appeared in CityAM, Forbes, and The Twenty Minute VC.
