Anotherway Ventures is a venture capital fund that invests exclusively in businesses eligible for SEIS or EIS tax relief. Since our founding, we have raised and deployed two S/EIS tranches (for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 tax years), and are raising a third tranche later this year. We focus on consumer product businesses, a sector that often faces greater challenges in accessing institutional capital, making the S/EIS scheme particularly valuable. We also aim to make S/EIS investing more accessible through our approach: typically leading rounds, conducting due diligence, and managing legal documentation so others can invest alongside us with confidence.

AI VentureFlows SEIS Fund brings together leading AI experts and one of the founders of MICAP, a top SEIS research provider, to launch a pioneering AI-focused SEIS fund. Combining technical specialism, deep start-up experience, and access to innovation, the Fund invests in companies harnessing AI for data analysis, automation, and complex problem-solving.

Despite over 70 years of development, AI remains in its early stages, offering vast opportunities for innovation across hardware, software, and applications in all industries. While Big Tech pursues current trends, VentureFlows seeks to back new entrants with smart, real-world solutions — including those targeting the future potential of superintelligence.

The Fund will primarily invest in companies emerging from premier UK incubators, ensuring a portfolio of rigorously selected, high-calibre start-ups with access to top mentorship and resources. Members of VentureFlows’ team have direct experience with leading AI incubators, providing early access to the best upcoming ventures.

VentureFlows believes that AI start-ups offer strong exit potential, with likely interest from AI-focused VCs and Big Tech firms seeking strategic acquisitions.

VentureFlows was founded by Professor Andy Pardoe, a leading authority on AI, Andrew Irwin — the “I” in MICAP and a veteran of SEIS/EIS investing — and Bruce Elliott-Smith, a leading backer of SEIS companies and a Grammy Award-winning music producer. They are supported by a network of advisers and specialists, aiming to help investors access the next wave of AI innovation

Our team and Venture Partners have invested over £4m of their own money into Ascension funds.

Ascension is rated as a Fund Manager with a Top 10 EIS track record by MICAP, has a score of 86 by Tax Efficient Review, and has been managing SEIS/EIS Funds for the last 10 years. Ascension has had 14 successful exits to date including two at 10x, as well as another three at 8x, 6x, and 5x.
