On Thursday 8th September, EISA and Tolleys held a joint event for the relaunch for the EIS Diploma at Tolley’s offices in Farringdon Street.
Both EISA and Tolleys have spent some considerable time updating and revising the content of the diploma following feedback from existing diploma holders and as a result of the 2015 regulation changes. The relaunched diploma can now justifiably market itself as the go to resource for the EIS industry.
The event saw over 50 attendees from all areas of the EIS industry including providers, solicitors, promoters, contributors, lawyers and accountants and we were particularly pleased to see so many IFAs amongst the numbers. Lots of potential Green Shoots members were also present including Andrie Santis a member of the new London Committee and Patrick and Chris from Green Shoots North.
Drinks and canapes were served before attention turned to the key speakers. Mark Brownridge, EISA DG, gave a brief welcome speech, before Simon Groom of Tolleys underlined how much they support the Diploma. Finally, Mark Bissett, also of Tolleys, demonstrated the on line functionality.
The drinks continued after the speakers and with so many different interested parties, the atmosphere was lively and good hearted with everyone enjoying the opportunity to network and make new contacts, very much within the spirit that EISA is keen to encourage and foster.
My thanks to everyone involved in making the event a great success and we look forward to our next event which is our Autumn Technical seminar on 8th November so please look out for details.
All the very best
Mark Brownridge
