EISA works with the Government, HM Treasury and HMRC to set policy on EIS and SEIS regulation.
EISA also provides members with the opportunity to feedback their views on existing policy to Government through round table discussions and acting as a collective voice on white papers and consultations
EISA collaborates with other trade bodies which support investment into SMEs including:
- BVCA (British Venture Capital Association)
- AIC (Association of Investment Companies)
- ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales)
- UKBAA (UK Business Angels Association)
- Small Business Taskforce
The EISA Director General sits on the BVCA Venture Capital Working Group, which aims to present a unified voice from all sections of the SME and Venture Finance industries to the UK Government and the EU on a range of topics including the impact of Regulation, in particular the implementation of AIFMD, FATCA, EuVECAs and moves towards a Capital Markets Union (CMU) as well as the promotion of the UK as a hub for early stage investment.
